Goodbye, Hello Hope in Difficult Endings
If 2011 was not Ending, 2012 could not begin.
It’s that way in all of life. Endings must come before new beginnings can start.
Oh how we all love those new beginnings!
But endings can be mixed. Sometimes our endings bring a sigh of relief. And sometimes they’re confusing, and painful.
Either way endings will always come.
To embrace the cycles of life we must get used to endings.
“All things work together for the good of those who love Him...” (Rom 8:28)
It often takes time to see any good in heartbreaking endings. And sometimes when we can see absolutely no good in a loss, as I can attest to, we have to remember that God is our Redeemer and Shepherd. He eventually leads us to green pastures and comforts our souls. He will carry us through and take care of us. Always.
No matter what has happened God will carve a new path for YOU! The end of something like a job, an ability, a season in time, or losing someone we love, is the mark of a new season. And God will always keep moving us toward the purpose He created us for.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion...” (Phil 1:6)

As 2011 comes to a close let’s reflect back on our year. Were our endings joyful or painful? Whatever the case may be we still have our own journey to continue with God. Let’s ask Him for our next steps to move forward serving Him.
God can give you a new direction, a spark of creativity, new forgiveness, a surprise provision, a new friend, a healing in your heart -- and above all an increased hope!
Keep Running the Race!
Nothing slows a runner down like a heavy backpack. Be sure to leave the parts of 2011 behind that will only be baggage in 2012.
Let’s rejoice that with Jesus that we will always have a new beginning! We know the Creator of the years, the seasons, and the days. God is the Creator of LIFE itself.
Let’s thank Him for all we have! God is always faithful,

Help Us START STRONG in 2012
Monthly Partners and Year-End Gifts Needed
We are excited to reach even more people in 2012 with salvation, discipleship, and crisis provisions. But we need your help.
“Behind the Scenes” in 2011 we ministered to the widowed, suicidal, and broken who wrote us letters. Most said they stumbled upon us online -- or a friend sent them our link. But how many others are falling through the cracks?
We need to be easier to find and to expand our reach. But it takes more finances than we currently have. Will you help us?
We need 100 more monthly supporters. Also, we need as many as possible, to send a special one time gift.
Your gifts will be used with integrity to share the Gospel and to challenge believers. We also want to keep our personal touch available for those who write to us in extreme crisis.
Your help is essential. Remember, no gift is too small.
Help us start strong in 2012. The time is NOW.

A Few Highlights from 2011
____________________________
Josiah and Bethany Children's Home Reynosa, Mexico

Look at that sweet smile for a coloring book!
In 2011 you helped LDM with donations to help the orphans in the Josiah and Bethany Home and the needy in Reynosa, Mexico, with our partners Calvary Commission.
2011 Christmas Outreach
The 2011 Christmas Outreach was a huge success. The gospel was shared in the streets of Mexico to the very poor -- along with gifts of food, clothing and Christmas presents. It was a Merry Christmas for so many who have nothing!
Pray that the Lord will water the seeds of kindness and of Jesus -- that were planted in so many lives -- to take firm root and blossom!
Join the 2012 MEXICO EASTER OUTREACH
Join us for Easter! Bring your family or your whole Youth Group! Make a difference in 2012.
You can also mail beans and rice, kid's clothes, socks, shoes, and underwear, Spanish Bibles, new or in good shape toys, medicine, and hygiene products.
Just Released! NO KOMPROMISSE (that's ESTONIAN:)

Did you know Melody has
preached in Estonia? (Estonia is north of Latvia and west of Moscow, Russia.) Melody stood in the town square of Talin, Estonia with translators. The first one translated her English into Estonian, the second (who didn't speak English) translated from Estonian into Russian. A large crowd gathered and lives were given to Christ!
She also spoke in the largest church in Talin. Lives were touched again in that service and there were many tears before Melody left for Moscow. And now years later, Estonians have her book to read in their own language!
The Netherlands Keith Green Tribute Tour
In September artist Martin Brand did a “Keith Green Tribute Tour" across the Netherlands for two months. Martin translated Keith and Melody's songs into Dutch -- a full evening's worth! Melody sent a Video that was shown at every concert where she reminded the audience to serve God with all their heart and to reach the lost and hurting.
The tour was sponsored by Operation Mobilization (OM).
Melody and Operation Mobilization This fall Melody attended an OM Founders Evening in Kansas City. She's pictured with OM Founder and friend George Verwer.
LDM's Tijuana Mexico Outreach
This past year Last Days was able to help generate donations and 200 pairs of shoes for the needy in Mexico. LDM partners with Wayne & Carol Kiger-Rice of Voice of the Bride Ministries.
Wayne took donated gifts and food across the border just before Christmas. Of course the gospel is always shared.
The smallest gift means so much to children who have almost nothing.

Carol and Rescue-Pup Frankie Prepare Tijuana "Family Boxes" for Christmas
Pray that border restrictions on food would be lifted. Produce & fruit are restricted, and this makes it difficult to get nourishing items to people who are in need.
Do you live near San Diego CA? If you do, you can help out! Even for an hour a week, or per month. A lot of food is available, but there are not enough people to help pick it up.
Wayne does the hard and dangerous stuff, taking it all over the border, waiting hours to cross, always being pulled over for inspections. Pray for some extra help with food runs. How about YOU?
LDM Joplin Missouri Disaster Relief Fund Your gifts made a difference!

In response to the May 22nd F5 tornado that ripped through Joplin, your donations made a difference. LDM partnered with a local church in Joplin to decide where the funds were given -- in the NAME of JESUS!
Thank you for responding to the needs of others when calamity hits hard. The LDM Disaster Fund has brought blessings to so many around the world when tragedy strikes hard.
Thank you for trusting us to get your gifts to people on the ground.

Decorate With Love A Christmas Message from Melody
This month the whole world will be filled with twinkling lights, shiny ornaments, and flickering candles. Our prayer is that everyone will decorate in the Spirit too -- with the beauty of real love. Jesus is the only true and shining light.
Many may need to cut back on gift giving. Perhaps it’s a time to give greater gifts than money can buy. Do you remember the very first Christmas? Jesus was alone with his parents and they were all sleeping on straw… in a stable. Pure love came to earth to bless us all. And then gifts arrived to bless Him.
Some may also need to cut back on their expectations of receiving. If we love and fear God we have already received the Greatest Gift. “It is better to have a little with the fear of the Lord, than to have great treasure and turmoil with it,” (Pv 15:16).
Giving and receiving love doesn’t need to take a lot of money. So give lavishly and receive humbly, knowing that you are blessed.
Christmas is about God's gift to us. The Messiah. The Savior and Redeemer of all mankind.
Not As The World Gives
This is a busy time of year. But amidst the shopping, cooking, mailing, and Christmas celebrations, let peace reign in your home and in your life. If you cut back on anything let it be stress -- with yourself and those around you.
Embrace the Prince of Peace whether you have a lot or a little. Jesus gave us His peace freely and left it for us to enjoy now and forever. “Peace I leave with you... Not as the world gives do I give to you,” (John 14:27).
Whatever amount you are able to do this Christmas, bathe it generously in love. Love the friends and family you can be with -- and send your love to those who might be far away. Your love will be felt and will span the gaps because it is written that, “Love never fails,” (1 Cor. 13).
May your Christmas be as simple and as magnificent as the first Christmas was. It was so glorious that it was adorned with a bright heavenly star and angels showed up to sing about it
Have a blessed and peace filled Christmas.
With Love from Everyone at LDM,

Mary of Nazareth A Teenage Girl ...and Woman of Courage
By Melody Green
Mary’s incredible life was more heroic and more intriguing than most of us realize. Certainly her absolute surrender and trust in God is worthy of imitation by every believer… of every age.
I realize not everyone who loves Jesus totally agrees on certain aspects of Mary’s legacy--but we must not let that obscure her truly incredible favor and her intimate relationship with the Lord. I confess, I usually forget about Mary until Christmas, when I unpack my nativity and place her next to Joseph and baby Jesus.
But we must remember that God Himself handpicked Mary to be the earthly mother of Jesus, His only Son.
Undoubtedly, God had many young Jewish virgins in Israel to consider, but He chose Mary above every one else. That fact in itself is a stunningly profound statement about Mary’s character and faith.
Who Was Mary?
What was it about Mary that made her stand out to God above all others? What did God know about her that we need to honor and imitate? Perhaps who Mary was, and all she faced, is difficult to grasp because of her culture.
She was an Orthodox Jewish girl living in a religious community with strict regulations. Today, with God’s grace available to us, how could we possibly imagine ourselves, or our daughters, in Mary’s position?
She wasn’t part of a local youth group with a cool worship band. She wasn’t contemplating a college degree or a career in medicine. Mary’s lifestyle and the conduct expected of her, cannot be understood by most of us today. But it was holy and as commanded by God.
I ask each of you, just for a moment, to try to put yourself, or someone you love, in Mary's situation. What hazards did Mary face? What was the potential cost of her obedience?
So let's go back to that time in Israel's history and try to learn from the example set by Mary – or Miryam, as she was called in Hebrew. [To finish reading this article please click here]

New: We've Opened the Vault! "Oh Lord You're Beautiful" Keith Green Commemorative Poster Exclusive Offer for our Readers! Also included is the amazing story behind the concert photo.
Dear friend of LDM,
This time of year often brings friends and families together.
A few weeks ago my daughter Rebekah and her husband George flew from Los Angeles to Kansas City to visit. Rachel and Bobby live near me with their three kids -- my beautiful Grand-Children!! So our whole little family was together! One sunny day we took the kids to a pumpkin patch zoo and had a blast.
Thank You for Helping LDM Transition!
I'm so grateful for your generous gifts! Since our last update so many of you have given sacrificially.
You helped meet pressing needs and made LDMs transition back to Texas (for some staff needs and more cost effective shipping) so much easier.
If you’ve been with us “forever” you’ll love this: We actually got our old PO Box in Lindale back -- Box 40. It was a miracle and a sweet kiss from the Lord! (Photo: Bobby with Jaxon, Rachel with Nyah, Rebekah with Asher, George, Melody)
If you missed my last update you can read about our new efforts to expand the reach of our ministry -- just click here. Your partnership is crucial. Every gift will continue to help us on our mission.
The autumn days will soon tumble into the New Year, so travel the next few months with wisdom, grace, and kindness. Let’s close out this year with purpose and get ready for a fresh new beginning.
Love,

The Vault is Opened! "Oh Lord You're Beautiful" 18" x 24" Keith Green Commemorative Poster

From Melody: You are a looking at a first fruit from "our vault" where I’ve stored precious memories. This photo was taken almost 33 years ago, but it feels like yesterday. Perhaps it will remind us of our first love, and maybe it will challenge a new generation to deeper devotion. It’s time to share some treasures in ways that honor the Lord and properly commemorate Keith’s legacy.
This amazing photo is one of my favorites. It's not just a concert photo… it's a moment in time, captured by a photographer hidden in the rafters. It shows Keith’s heart and passion for God in a powerful, unguarded moment.
When we yield our lives to God He uses us to draw people to Him. Whether we are in an office, a store, or even on a big stage – God will use us.
I think all who love Keith’s music, and heart of worship, will be inspired and challenged by this amazing moment.
Keith was focused on Jesus and we need to be focused too.
* Be sure to look at the larger version. The lyric's of "Oh Lord You're Beautiful" start in lower left and wrap all around the photo. Across the bottom we've noted the place and date and info on Keith.

-- More Back-Story on the Poster --
Oral Roberts University, March 1979
Keith’s ministry at ORU was a defining moment in his walk with the Lord. Just a month before Keith had experienced a life-changing, personal revival. It was so powerful he referred to it as being like "getting saved again" when he compared it to his first years as a believer.
Keith's personal revival brought him to a deeper conviction about sin and complacency in his own life, and also within the church as a whole. Then Lord led everyone at LDM into that same kind of prayer and repentance.
With a concert at ORU already scheduled, Keith believed God wanted to bring the same spirit of revival to the prestigious university campus. He believed that once the fire ignited at ORU they could use their strength and influence to take the revival across America.
Keith was originally only scheduled for one chapel service on campus. And there’s an incredible story of how ORU "uninvited" Keith. But Keith drove a team to Tulsa anyway to plead his case for revival. Then Keith was not only "reinvited" by ORU, but he was miraculously given three nights in a row to minister at ORU’s Mabee Center for free -- the nicest and largest auditorium in Tulsa!
Melody takes a whole chapter in her book No Compromise to share about all these events and if you have not read her classic yet, we encourage you to do so. We don’t have enough space now to tell the full story, but we'll do our best.
Briefly, the LDM ministry team had been in Tulsa for weeks to fast and pray with Keith and Melody. And each night of ministry at the Mabee Center grew in numbers, intensity, and deep conviction of sin. Something bigger than anyone imagined was swelling to a crescendo.
The amazing photo in the poster was taken on the second night. God was obviously moving deeply on people’s hearts. Keith himself was worshiping and yielded -- silently pleading with the Lord to have His way. The presence of God was stunning. What an amazing moment in time to capture!
The third night of ministry was bathed in fasting and prayer again, and there was a sense of holy fear and hopeful anticipation bubbling beneath the surface. If revival broke out at ORU who knew, they might actually carry it across America after all.
At the altar-call on the third night the crowd was again moved by God, and one by one they filled the stage and the aisles, on their knees. But this night it was different. There was more brokenness. More desperation.
Keith literally crawled under the piano, weeping, as students spontaneously stood and lined up at the mic to openly repent before their peers. The presence of the Lord was almost tangible. The confessions were getting more candid. A university administrator took the mic to bring a word of caution. And as soon as he finished speaking the auditorium went flat. You could hear a pin drop.
God’s presence vanished so abruptly it stunned everyone. There was nothing anyone could do. It was over.
But those who were there will never forget when God showed up and hearts were changed forever.

We Need Your Help to Take the Next Step
More Ministry. More Available. To More People.
Dear Friends,
Since we know that you love us and believe in the mission of LDM, we are asking for your help.
Keith’s No Compromise message -- in his music, teachings, and writings – and the ongoing teachings of many others through LDM are more needed today than ever.
Our Dilemma
Hundreds of thousands worldwide search for Keith on the Internet, but they usually land on secondary sites only to watch a video or hear some music.
But if that’s all they get, they’re missing the core. It was God who anointed Keith and his music. We want these music lovers to also find the depths of God’s forgiveness, love, and faithfulness.
Keith felt his songs were "little hooks" to pull people closer to God and their destiny. We can minister to them more fully if they connect to Keith's and LDM's discipleship teachings.
We Need to Increase our Partner Base
And we want you on board!
Quite simply, LDM has lacked the funding to fix our technology gaps and seize opportunities to connect with this digital generation. We are too hard to find in the internet jungle.
Our budget is mean and lean. I don’t receive a salary, but our small staff depends on getting theirs. And without them we could not keep the ministry going, let alone expand.
These next few months need some special support as we stretch and transition. See below for details about what your gift will facilitate.
"This world has gone crazy but soon maybe
a lot more are gonna know..." --Keith Green
To take the next step forward, our goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of November. And we want and need you on board!
With Hope,

When you click the donate button you can give directly through LDM’s secure site or use your PayPal account.
What Your Gifts Will Help Us Do
* Offer FREE streaming on our site of Keith’s audio and video teachings.
* Digitally transfer and freely offer ministry never before seen.
* Redesign portions of our site to better highlight our free teachings.
* Create a Last Days internet highway and use social networks to spread the Gospel and reach those searching.
How We Will Do It
* In faith, we have hired two new staff members.
* We also need to hire a graphic artist for each project.
* And pay for any website redesigns.
* Some new equipment needs to be bought.
* We are moving parts of Last Days "back home” to Lindale,Texas.
There is an initial cost to do this, but it will lower costs long term.
We need to keep things running smoothly too, while we do the above.
Whether you can send a one-time gift or make a monthly commitment, you can help us reach our goal of $10,000 by the end of November.
Each and every gift will help amazingly.

If you'd like to write to us please use the "contact us" section on the LDM site. Please don't hit "reply" to this email -- because it goes to an unmonitored email box and we won't be able to respond to you.

Bangalore, India: "I have been reading online the many teachings by Keith Green and have been listening to the music too, I would like to say what he spoke and lived is so relevant in today's world. –Solomon Glasgow, Scotland: The Father Heart of God is one of the best articles ever written and ministers to a great many in Glasgow. Love is one of the things our world needs and does not understand. I've given tracts of this to women who "work the streets" of Glasgow and to many who have been abused. This tract is a must." –Andra Hong Kong / Philippines: “I had an opportunity to get Keith Green's music when I was in Hong Kong. I constantly share it with the youth.
